BMW MS43 Forced-Induction Tuning: Preset vs Bespoke

An MS43 turbo or supercharger build can follow one of two calibration paths. Choose the preset package or a bespoke calibration for your build.

Option 1: Poverty Built preset MS43 forced-induction tune

Use the preset product only when the completed car exactly matches an offered combination in the Tune Configurator.

The preset path is designed for:

  • a supported M54 and MS43 application;
  • an approved MAF sensor and housing;
  • an approved injector combination;
  • the stated fuel and fuel pressure;
  • the supported boost and hardware configuration;
  • a customer who does not need iterative datalog development.

The preset product does not include open-ended datalog review, repeated revisions, or calibration for unlisted hardware.

Option 2: UNDSPTD bespoke MS43 calibration

Choose bespoke tuning when the build has unlisted injectors, a different MAF or housing, custom boost control, an unusual engine combination, non-standard fuel-system behavior, or needs revision-based development.

Bespoke calibration is approached as an individual build. The complete engine, fuel, airflow, sensor, and boost-control specification is reviewed before calibration begins, with time allocated for applicable datalog review and revisions.

For swaps or custom hardware combinations, contact Poverty Built directly. A calibration built for one injector or airflow-meter combination should not be treated as interchangeable with another.
