Find the correct Poverty Built BMW tune by starting with the engine and ECU that are actually in your car. Chassis, model year, and badge are useful clues, but swaps and production changes mean the ECU always matters.
How to choose your BMW tune
- Identify the engine and ECU currently installed.
- Open the matching tune listing.
- Use the Tune Configurator to select the car, engine, hardware, fuel, transmission, and options you actually have.
- Choose the appropriate stage. On naturally aspirated listings, stage descriptions are setup guidance—not a parts list you must copy. On N54 and N55 OTS map packs, stages are hardware- and fuel-defined; meet the requirements shown in the listing.

Flashing software quick reference
- MS41: use BTT MS41 QuickFlash.
- MS42, MS43, and MS45: use MS4X Flasher.
- N54/N55 MHD-compatible OTS map packs: use MHD, BTT, or another compatible flashing solution where the listing allows it.
- N20E/N20F when released: BTT QuickFlash files only until Poverty Built releases its own flasher.
You do not need to send a full ECU read unless Poverty Built specifically requests one after reviewing your order.
