Refund policy

1. ECU Tuning Services – No Returns, Limited Exchanges

All ECU tuning services, including custom calibrations and pre-configured tuning files, are non-refundable. Due to the nature of digital tuning files and their immediate usability upon delivery, we do not accept returns or refunds on any tuning purchases.

Exceptions:

  • If you purchase a tune for the incorrect ECU model or software version, an exchange may be granted for the correct tune, provided that the original tune has not been installed or used.
  • Exchanges are subject to verification by Poverty Built LLC.

2. Physical Products – 30-Day Return Policy & Defect Warranty

We have a 30-day return policy for physical products, meaning you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return:

  • Your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
  • You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, contact us at help@povertybuilt.com. Returns must be sent to the address provided via email.

If your return is accepted, we will send you a return shipping label along with instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.

Conditions for Warranty Claims:

  • The defect must be a result of a manufacturing issue, not improper installation, misuse, or external damage.
  • Customers must contact us within 30 days of receiving the product and provide proof of the defect (e.g., photos, videos).
  • If approved, we will either replace the defective product or issue store credit at our discretion.

Defective or Damaged Items

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact us immediately if an item is defective, damaged, or incorrect so we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Defective items are covered under our 30-day defect warranty and may be replaced or exchanged at our discretion.

3. Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned, including:

  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items, including ECU tuning services).
  • Used or installed parts.
  • Sale items and gift cards.

If you have questions or concerns about your specific item, contact us before purchasing.

4. Exchanges

If you purchase the wrong item, we allow exchanges for the correct product if the original item is unused and in its original condition. The fastest way to get the right product is to return the incorrect item first, and once accepted, make a separate purchase for the correct item.

5. European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

If your order is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days for any reason, without justification. The item must be returned in its original, unused condition with proof of purchase.

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you will be refunded automatically to your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • Refund processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
