Is this bespoke custom tuning?
No. This is a configured preset calibration for supported naturally aspirated combinations, not open-ended revision-based tuning.
Will anything be shipped?
The tune file is delivered by email. A cable or other physical add-on ships separately if you purchase one.
What if I am not sure which tune fits?
Use Find Your BMW Tune or send your VIN, engine, ECU/controller ID, and modification list before ordering.

A platform-developed staged calibration for supported F-series BMW diesel vehicles using Bosch EDC17/DDE engine management.

Supported DDE families can include EDC17CP45, EDC17C56, and other explicitly validated F-series variants. Some later or updated ECUs require a bench/boot unlock before OBD flashing.
WHAT THE STAGES MEAN
STAGE 1 — OEM+ DAILY
For a healthy stock or lightly modified vehicle. Focused on stronger response, usable torque, and smooth daily drivability while retaining emissions-system operation.
STAGE 2 — STRONG STREET
A higher-output calibration for mechanically healthy vehicles with suitable airflow, cooling, fuel-system, and transmission condition. Confirm the exact supporting hardware, fuel, and supported DDE/ROM combination with Poverty Built before ordering Stage 2.
STAGE 3 — MAXIMUM SUPPORTED
The strongest staged calibration offered for specifically supported hardware combinations. Stage 3 is not open-ended custom tuning and is not intended for towing or neglected vehicles.

DIGITAL TUNE DELIVERY
The tune itself is delivered by email. No physical tune is shipped, and no tracking number is expected.
- Your calibration file and applicable flashing instructions are sent to the email address used at checkout.
- Choose the appropriate Stage variant. After ordering, email your order number and vehicle/setup information to help@povertybuilt.com; see ordering details below.
- A full ECU read is not required unless Poverty Built requests one after reviewing the order.
- Flashing software, licenses, cables, and interfaces are separate unless this listing or your order specifically says they are included.
- If your order also includes a cable or other physical hardware, that item ships separately. A shipping label means the package is being prepared; it is not in transit until the carrier receives it.
ORDER INFORMATION
Choose the Stage variant matching a confirmed supported N57 combination. For Stage 2 or Stage 3, confirm the installed hardware, fuel, transmission, DDE/ROM, and exact flashing route and separate costs with Poverty Built before ordering. Unknown DDE/ROM or possible unlock/access work must also be clarified before purchase.
After ordering, email your order number, VIN, vehicle, engine, installed hardware/setup, fuel, transmission, and requested supported features to help@povertybuilt.com. Describe the car exactly as it will be when flashed. Poverty Built will request ECU identification or a file read only if needed.
Include any current faults and known DDE/ROM information with the order details.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
A Poverty Built platform-developed staged file for a validated combination, delivered for the supported flashing workflow. Changes outside the options and revision allowance shown on this listing are separate work. Open-ended custom development and mechanical diagnosis are not included unless this listing explicitly says otherwise. A verified issue in the supplied file will be corrected through Poverty Built support; it is not treated as a request for new tuning work.
FLASHING SOFTWARE & EQUIPMENT
The intended app for supported F-series N57 EDC17 combinations is Bimmer Tuning Tools EDC17f QuickFlash (currently $74 for a Single VIN license). The license, required ENET cable/interface, and any needed bench/boot unlock or access work are separate and are not included in this calibration price. Confirm the exact DDE/ROM, software, unlock status, flashing route, and separate costs before ordering if uncertain.
BEFORE FLASHING
The vehicle must have healthy boost, rail-pressure, cooling, injector, emissions, and transmission systems. A calibration will not repair mechanical faults. Complete any required ECU unlock and maintain stable battery voltage during flashing.
IMPORTANT
This product supports confirmed emissions-intact configurations. Performance varies with vehicle condition, fuel, hardware, climate, and drivetrain. Safety-critical protections remain enabled, and no specific power figure is guaranteed.
